I’d like to know 11 things about you. I’ll start with me.

It is an incredibly busy time of year and I really should be working on crossing to do’s off the list, or start picking up clothes off the bedroom. You know those times when you really feel you should be something but you can’t be arsed bothered.

I blame Lana, someone I’ve never had the pleasure to meet in real life, yet I was drawn to her blog post “11 things you probably don’t know about me”.

So I’m hoping to find out a little more about you too. Social media is so vast and connecting to those you form friendships with is totally the best part and knowing a little more about my readers is important to me. We interact on Facebook Page and Twitter, I see your photo but know very little about you. I over share my good, bad and the amount of chocolate I eat.

  1. My Spanish name is Natividad de Jesus Francisca Moreno-Delgado. (Parenting Tip: Don’t name your child Jesus. School kids can be cruel).
  2. I’ve had a full hip replacement and half my thighbone is titanium. Due to this it is advisable not travel with me as I hold up security for a while. I can also trigger off the shop alarms as I go in.
  3. Been trying to lose 10 kilos since having op. It won’t budge. I have early menopause so I blaming that. Not the chocolate.
  4. I grew up in London. My parents immigrated from Spain for a better life. I was a loved child, I was happy but also very confused and scared
  5. My favourite colour is white. Not the best choice as I work with children.
  6. Love writing. Am scared every time I publish post. My words are simple, my grammar sucks, lacking confidence in this area. When I read some bloggers can write a blog post in under an hour, I want to be like them.
  7. My first job was a in a shoe shop. My dislike of feet comes from seeing feet a 15 year old need not see. I have feet trauma.
  8. I fall asleep with the TV on most nights it quietens the thoughts in my head and the Mr. snores.
  9. I am a brown belt in Shukokai Karate.
  10. Raw celery is not my friend.
  11. I love most music not a huge fan of jazz.

So over to you readers tell me “11 things I probably don’t know about you?”

  1. Love this Nathalie!! I’ve been writing a similar post in my head, which I hope to share one of these days… Soon! (I would also LOVE to be able to write a blog post in under an hour. That would change my life, I think!!!!)
I worked in a shoe shop too for a few years (my Dad’s shop and I started there at age 16 or 17 I think). I totally understand your feet trauma!!
Great to read more about you here. I popped over from Facebook. Not sure what number it might be on my list but I really wish I had more time to enjoy reading blog posts! x

    • When you finish your post make sure to send me the link. Reading anything including blogs is also something I enjoy, that finding time thing sure gets in the way xx

  2. Wow, so glad I “inspired” this in you. I LOVED reading that xxxx

  3. Oh I could probably list one hundred and eleven things that people don’t know about me! But I do love your eleven Nathalie and I love that you have linked up to my humble Conversations with Coffee. Your post on parenting and memories is one that I will keep sharing, the lessons are too important not too. Josefa xx

  4. I love this idea – it’s always good to learn more about the lovely people in our blogging community – I may have to ‘steal’ it one day to use as well !!!
    Have the best week !
    Me

  5. What a great post, Nathalie! I love reading more about bloggers, so I’m always drawn to such posts as this. I am completely with you on the celery, can’t stand it. And I’m also nervous every time I hit publish! I think us bloggers should have a national day of listing 11 new things about ourselves – that would be fun. Of course none of us would get anything done, we’d be so busy reading blogs all day! Very impressed with the Karate, by the way 🙂 Adios! xx

  6. I must confess, I’m totally drawn into these posts. I’m a nosey thing, in a good way 😉

Love your list! What an amazing name you have. I think I found out more than 11 lovely things about you. Now, off to do something similar. Thanks for posting this. Thanks to Lana too! xx

  7. Emma Cooper says

Great post! I love these ideas. Always good to know more about people! Mine are on my tumblr cooperclare.tumblr.com 🙂

  8. Great list 🙂 I’m glad I’m not the only one who falls asleep with the TV on – I also find it helps my brain to shut up and just let me sleep.

  9. I love these lists, thank you Jesus.

And you have no need to lose 10kgs at all.

  10. haha, nice one. I enjoyed reading that. 🙂 I too hate raw celery. Hmm, you probably don’t know that I’ve driven a train! Pretty cool huh? hehe. I was chosen from my primary school when I was in grade 4 to be in Comet and Explore magazine in an article about driving trains, haha. From Ringwood station, around the city loop and back!
Okies, that’s at least 2 things. The other 9 will come at a later date 🙂 x

  11. Hmmm…
    1. I hated my middle name until I was an adult… Joy… Now I’ve given it to my daughter too!
    2. I was in Girlfriend magazine in the sealed section… don’t stress… it was for my opinion on sex. And I was misquoted. My first experience with media and it’s stuck with me!
    3. I like to sleep with the covers over my head with a little gap for my nose/mouth – gotta breathe right!
    4. I procrastinate.
    5. I’d love to take singing lessons… and then sing in public… 🙂
    6. I’m a clean freak.. but can’t keep up!
    7. I have a collection of vintage sheets that is overtaking my entire linen cupboard.. just one more!
    8. I want to write a book. I have two drafts. Perhaps an eBook will suffice!
    9. I get into food habits, especially with breakfast… can’t deviate from the plan!
    10. I get teary over the oddest things these days… Disney movies especially!
    11. I can type 80wpm with almost 100% accuracy without looking at keys! 🙂
    That’s it!! Me in 11 points! 🙂

    • Thanks for sharing your 11 things, it’s lovely to know a little more about you. Fancy doing some typing? slightly jealous of your 80wpm, I think mine is probably 8wpm. I’ve dreamt of singing lessons but I don’t believe anything would give me a singing voice, so it’s singing in the car for me xx

  12. 11, geeze. Okay, here goes:

    1. I hated having red hair when I was a kid but love it now
    2. My real name is Penelope and I HATE it!
    3. I love the movie Pippy Longstocking. I just bought it from ebay 5 minutes ago and I’m jumping out of my skin. Actually, I’ve been singing the song all morning too.
    4. I used to have a favourite animal (t’was a platypus) but now I just can’t decide
    5. I’d love to publish a picture book ( that’s actually the reason I started blogging)
    6. I too love chocolate and could loose 10 kgs. You’re right, it’s never the chocolates fault
    7. When Miss Possum was born, I got addicted to finding and buying almost every toy I had as a child
    8. Despite loving wildlife, I only have rather usual animals at home. Fish and two dogs.
    9. I love milo and burnt marshmallows.
    10. I’ve met Eddie Vedder, Mick Fanning, a prince ( can’t remember where from) and more cool peeps
    11. I’m glad to be at 11 because I’m running out of things to write.

  13. Loved learning more about you, Nat 🙂

  14. Aw I loved this post! Great to know a few more details about you – a lot of fun 🙂
