Blogging – All you need to know to start your own Blog

Blogging – Who wants to start a Blog?

Last week on Facebook I posed the question “Who is interested in starting a blog?” the response was phenomenal. So this is for all you who are thinking about blogging or are a new blogger still finding your blogging feet. I am very honoured that the inspirational Louisa Claire from Brand Meets Blog is happy and willing to assist you in making your wish of having your own blog come true. How exciting…

Louisa has written an E-book ‘How to Start a Blog’ specifically for beginners, a book that I would have loved to have last year when I first commenced blogging. Although saying that I have found great tips and advice a year on it’s now my new guide. The book is so beautifully straightforward that even I understand the technical parts as Louisa explains them point by point. Louisa has a very interactive Facebook page and you can follow her here.

“Although I’ve been blogging on various platforms for over four years, Louisa’s e-book helped me understand some of the little things I never knew about blogging. Everyone who wants to start a blog should read this first. It is very well written and explains things in a simple step by step way.” Toushka Lee from Toushka Lee

“Louisa Claire’s Ebook is the perfect guide to starting up a blog, including why you should and how to go about it. Filled with lots of must-have information, I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to get started blogging. Veronica Foale, Sleepless Nights.”

  1. My question is:
Do you follow on with a theme or just blog what is happening at that time for you?

Looking forward to learning heaps. I have started and stopped a number of times.

    • I was originally just going to blog about child behaviour and now blog about pretty much anything, I quite enjoy blogging about other things as I work with behaviour all day. See you at the chat x

  2. Hi There!
My question is how do you come up with new content? I struggle to think of anything to attract buyers etc!
    Thank you!

    • Hi Caitlyn I’ve had a look at your site, wow it is simply gorgeous. I would try and blog about how you would use particular pieces with certain outfits and occasions. Also about ideas for gifts, for different age groups especially teens. We can cover more on the chat Nx

  3. Can a blog post be too long (or too short), how important are photographs, video etc, and how can I expand my audience?

    • It relly depends on the topic of your blog, hope to answer all these questions tomorrow night on the live Facebook chat.

      • Awesome, I am looking forward to it (especially as hubby will be glued to state of origin at the time). The ebook looks fabulous, will be purchasing a copy (if I don’t win this one) to help me on my blogging journey (I’m pretty new to it and am sure it would be invaluable).

Ever since I started my English major, 7 years ago and slowly started delving into the word of so many inspriational blogs and their authors, I become more and more eager to start my own blog, besides that I often times, do not feel confident enough to do that. I am so grateful to you, Nathalie, for giving me the opportunity to even give it a try, if I gain enough courage, so as the steps you have shared with us! All the best to you and your lovely family!

    Hi Nathalie

I have only in the last week decided that I would like to start my own blog and with no idea where to start, Google became my best friend…then through Kidspot, I found you and this post. I have purchased and printed Louisa’s book and tonight after Her Royal Highness is in bed, I shall be studying it like someone is going to make me sit for an exam!!

I am keen as mustard to get cracking (on the day I decided to do it within 4 hours I had 75 topics for posts in a notebook) and of course would love to one day make money from it.

I am aware that the giveaway is long over however I was wondering if you would consider making me Star of the Week once I am up and running.

If not, I completely understand, but as my Dad always used to tell me ” all you can do is ask”.

Love your blog by the way, and Googling blogging has made me your newest reader.

    Best regards
    Dee

    • Hi Dee , good on you for following your blogging passion, yes you are most welcome t be stat of the week. It won’t be until next year as the new website will be up by then, good luck with it all xxxx
