Blogging Friendships just like a Fruit Salad

Blogging Friendships

I’ve been making new friends. Friends that I have met online through Twitter and Blogging and the friendships have crossed over into the real world. After publishing  my post about the ProBlogger Melbourne Event I did not expect such a  big response, that many too had felt ignored, left out or not accepted.

This Comment “I’m fairly new at this and I must admit to feeling quite out of my depth! There was one particular blogger who didn’t want to talk to me because she didn’t like my genre” really got to me.

I was under the impression that if you put Bloggers together that is our passion, not matter what we blog about. I talk and tweet to a mixed crowd of bloggers, surely what counts is the connection and the frienship.

I see it like to see Blogging as a large fruit salad or a large fruity sangria or alcoholic punch with a  a range of diffrent fruits, alcohol/bloggers. It would make for a pretty boring fruit salad / punch with just apples in it.

Blogging Friendships -Reflect who I am !

In my personal life I am fortunate and very happy that I have an amazing group of friends all with a variety of backgrounds, with different beliefs, diffrent looks, different sexuality, and this is what I love about them. They offer different opinions, they are happy to talk about anything, they don’t judge me and for that I’m so Thankful. To me every blogger I connect with has either made me laugh, cry, understood me, helped me and has offered friendship.

With the many blogging friends I have made online and you know who you are, some I’ve met some I haven’t.  I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to Kim from Frogpondsrock. Kim’s friendship was  cemented on Twitter. One morning she asked whether anyone could sponsor her entry to the ProBlogger event. Now Easy Peasy Kids have a lot of hush hush stuff and donations going on in the background, every month we do something for someone just out of the blue. A random facebook  liker will get flowers, or a card, or a little gift and this is how Kim got her ticket .

Blogging Friendships – Thank you

Kim offered to use her talents to make me something special, which I received on Friday and here it is. How special do I feel having something hand made specifically for me? Well I feel super bloody special and I love it.

It was going to be for my office but it has pride of place in my family room. It’s a reminder to me that friends come from all walk of life and that the uniqueness that we all have is a gift we should share amongst eachother.

I may not have ever met Kim in real life, would we have struck up a frienship if we had met randomly ? I like to think so but I’m glad for our frienship now  and what I really love about Kim is she doesn’t judge and accepts me for who I am, she has a kind soul  I know this because I’m into soul reading and she has made me laugh out loud a lot.

  1. While I have lovely friends on twitter I still seem to get ignored and never get invited to any tweet meet ups etc, yet I always make sure I’m there for all my followers for when they need an ear, shoulder or that to cry on.

  3. Thankyou Nathalie, I don’t think that our paths would have ever crossed if it wasn’t for blogging. But I am sure we would have “clicked” anyway as you have such a lovely smile.

I am very pleased that you liked the work I made for you as I was quite nervous about your reaction.

Thanks for publishing the photo via this blog post as I was just expecting a quick twit pic. 🙂 once again you have made my day. cheers Kim

  5. I’m fairly new to the blogging world, I have been reading blogs for over a year, but only just launched my own blog last month. I’m hoping to find people with similar interests and to build new friendships.
