My Happy Place Day Twenty One

My Happy Place Day Twenty One

I am happy that I took part in the I Heart My Body Campaign as I know how not accepting your body for how it is can have such a detrimental effect on behaviour.

I am happy that I have two children who are very happy with who they are.

I am happy that I can’t believe it already day 21 of the challenge and if I think back to before the challenge I’m sure I wouldn’t have noticed so many happy moments.

I am happy that after this I’m going to bed.

  1. Finally did my & my hubby’s tax! Yay!
    Nighty-night.

  2. I reluctantly went to a party of a stranger and turned out having a great time! I am happy to meet new people.

  3. After only getting word this week that Miss4 was enrolled for Prep, same week of orientation, I got a lovely surprise in the car today.
Out of the blue, Miss4 announced: “My school is perfect. I am going there!” So happy to hear. She’s been messed around until the last minute but she’s unfazed and raring to go. She did so very much enjoy her first visit, even though she must learn she can’t just have the prettiest teacher 🙂

    • Yay for Miss 4 liking her new school 🙂 Sounds like she is very ready to start and I am sure you must be happy that all the school stuff is now sorted for next year xx

  4. Had a great evening with some friends last night… pizza and board games. Apples to Apples and another game (can’t remember the strange name) where you had to decide would you rather do “this” or “that” and of course they were things no one would want to do, but you had to choose. Some were very disgusting, some completely crazy, some very thought provoking, but pretty much all had us laughing over our reasons. Laughing with my kids and friends is a great happy place!

  5. Yay. We are now a dummy free household. Blamed their disappearance on visiting Uncle Brian (sure he won’t mind) and first night went well. So happy they are gone. How many anxious moments have I spent on ground in the dark searching for them? So happy that the opportunity came up where my husband will be here three nights in a row to help with bed time. He is much better at getting Mr Two to sleep than me. Yay. No more ‘tete’.

    • Yeah 🙂 I remember when Miss 2 stopped her dummy, we left them all in Spain and returned to the Uk without them and she was fab without it. Very resilient children are, glad hubby is there to help just in case x

  6. The comment in that photo really hits home, it’s so so true.

I’m happy that people can be so nice. I started in a new workplace today and was terrified – not of the job I’m employed to do but the people I have to work with. Turns out all my fears were for nothing (which is usually the case!). I have lovely staff and colleagues and everything looks happy.

I soooo want my children to love themselves and be happy with who they are. Sounds like a good challenge.

Lots of happys today! The funky new kitchen scales on my bench, morning tea with Miss 2, cup of tea in the sun this hot sunny day we have here.

I think this happy place business is making me aware of trying to cultivate more happy moments – actively planning and making them happen – making different choices, instead of sitting dwelling on the less happy ones.

    • Georgie I’m amazed at my own realisation of happy moments since starting the challnge. Sounds like you are finding happy moents everywhere x

Oh, and here is a link to the meal planner I use – she has heaps of other free printable organiser things to – I like the daily planner one.

My Happy 21# Is my three year olds drawing today. Her big sister has always been very talented at drawing and Miss 3 has refused to draw anything but scribbles and circles and I was fine with that but today just out of the blue she drew bunnies and the cutest picture of us -her mum and dad

  11. Do you know what? I can’t actually think what my happy moment was yesterday, because I think the whole day was just “good”. Nothing special, kids chilling out after a big night the night before, M2 starting to get better and so on.

Thanks Nathalie for really helping me with this. You don’t know how often you and your “Easy Peasy” comments and outlook on life are in my head – and not in a creepy stalker way.

    Sooz.
