My Happy Place is over………..

My Happy Place is over………..

I cannot believe 30 days have passed, which makes me Happy as I now  appreciate even more how fast time flies by, which has made me much more aware of not sweating the small stuff ( I may have added more to the small stuff list). The Happy Place Behaviour Challenge is up there on things I have done, that have changed me for the better.

It is a big commitment to want to change something in your life and this has proved that change does happen over time but the only change needed has to come from within yourself.

If you want to be happy, you have to proactively find and acknowledge the happy moments because life can just take you on fall steam ahead and you miss them.

I will continue this Happy Place daily in my personal diary. The last two days have been pretty hectic, but I will get round to respond to your comments and posts as I have really enjoyed having you all on board. Your comments have made me smile, laugh, ponder and I’ve learnt a lot a long the way.

Looking back three things are very obvious, how our children, friends and a little bit of me time makes us all happy.

I look at the BIGGER picture daily and feel less stressed although still very busy,I am smiling a lot more

Thank you for being here, remember not to miss those Happy moments

Love

I don’t want to leave this place, and like you, decided to keep on going on my own. A big thank you to you Nathalie, for not just starting this and inviting us to join you, but all the extra time you spent commenting on all our posts. Maybe a good thing the original numbers expressing interest didn’t eventuate?

It has certainly changed my world and came at a perfect time. I’d decided to take a break from my life after six months of very emotionally draining blogging (http://to-my-dear-angel.blogspot.com) dealing with my past. This challenge was a welcome distraction for my break from being me. It made me look at all the ‘good’ me. Ready again to tackle the ‘bad stuff’ again!

    • Try not to see any as too bad but as an experience to learn from. The past is just that it has passed and you are just too divine xx

And my final happy moment? I think where I am now and who I now have in my life all stems back to the day I was born and the decision made by my birth mother to put me up for adoption. If she hadn’t, I am not so sure I would be in this happy place.

And thanks again to you Nathalie. Hope to meet you one day soon!

  8. There’s this crossing guard I pass every day on my way to work. He always waves and smiles to every car and person who passes. I can’t imagine how many days have been brightened just by that simple gesture. I know mine always is. I feel like your facebook posts do the same for me — they brighten my day and bring a smile to my face, as I’m sure they do for SO many others! I have really enjoyed this challenge Nathalie so thank you for being wonderful YOU!

    • Lynn it has been so lovely reading all the comments and focusing on mine. Your crossing guard sounds like the road crossing lady at my son’s school always waving, singing and wishing everyone a good day, makes a big difference. Thanks you for your lovely compliment I needed that today xx

I have so looked forward to coming here each day to reflect, and find the happy things I am so blessed to find in each day.
There seems to be something neat about sharing the happy things with other people, so I might make a point of sharing them with friends – we often just use each other to unload baggage. It can get a bit negative. I’ve felt uplifted by reading others’ happy things to.

I’ve also really really valued your feedback Nathalie. Thanks so much for taking the time to respond to comments. You are making a difference in peoples lives, even if far away. xoxox

    • Georgie it has been a real pleasure doing this everyday and interacting with everyone and smiling at all the happy moments and it has certainly helped me heaps finding and enjoying my happy pockets. xx

  10. Thank you ! Nathalie, it has been a great and challenging experience. I now stop and think all the time about what my 2 monsters are after from me. One of my favourite quotes I stumbled upon (I can’t remember where I read it) is “You will always be your childs favourite toy”. This so so true. This project has helped me reconnect in lots of ways with them and myself. I am in a good place in all areas (well, I could lose a couple of kilos, lol) and looking forward to the future.

Lots of love and happy moments

    Sooz.

Thanks so much to every one for sharing! I’ve enjoyed reading about your happy moments & telling you about my own. The last two days I haven’t had a chance to leave a comment, but what I realized was that I was still thinking about my happy moments. At the end of the day, after all my work was done & I’d collapsed on the lounge, Ive been thinking about my day, & about the moments I’ve enjoyed! I think my brain, or my way of thinking has been changed, for the better. So Nathalie for that I thank you! Xx

  12. Well done, Nathalie, for completing your challenge. What a wonderful feeling – aside from the content of the challenge itself! You are an inspiration. 🙂
I’ve enjoyed reading about everyone’s Happy Place. x

  13. you are an inspiration to all.

    xx

BTW I have that Emerson quote beside my bed. I love it.
