Mummy is putting on her big pants
I am putting on my big pants, you know the ones you save for certain times of the month, or the ones you wear because they feel ever so comfy and hold you all in, well I’m putting those big pants on for a while. Tuesday is surgery day. Apparently I will swell up big time. I’ll be away from home anyway between 5 to 10 days, then recouping for six weeks. My in laws are flying in to take over the household, the children and all the paraphernalia that comes of being a parent. I would also like to say my in laws totally rock. Nana is what I hope to be like when I’m a Nana; patient, kind and a great cook and Poppy is the funniest and most hands on loving Poppy ever. Both my kids are beyond themselves with excitement. Hiding all their mess in cupboards and under the bed, so it looks tidy for Nana and Poppy.
The lists and schedules of each child, including the Mr have been set up in Google calendars, to be safe I’ve also reiterated it all on whiteboards and printed it out too. Lucky Nana has a cake stall duties, swimming lessons, Taekwondo and the usual things a Mr 7 and a Miss 16 have scheduled.
My big pants are ready, me not so much… I will be hopefully back by the first week of December. There are Guest Posts coming that I am so very grateful for from Bloggers that inspire me, make me laugh, make me cry and are just tops all-round. So do come by and say hi.
Now I just have to breathe, pack the hospital bag, cuddle the kids and double check those lists one last time
My big pants are on, see you all soon
Love
Nathalie x

Nathalie I couldn’t imagine you swelling up but enjoy the comfy undies while you recover! Take care and make sure you do exactly what your Dr tells you to do (mummies have a habit of ignoring Dr s advice!) And don’t forget to pop on Twitter and let us know how you got on (or get the Mr to do it for you!) Wishing you all the best and all the love in the world for a speedy recovery xx

I hear that big pants help you to have a successful operation, quick healing, they help you to be brave and most importantly they help to make sure your in-laws never find the stash of toys and odd assortments in the cupboards! I’m glad you have big pants to see you through this 🙂 Thinking of you!

N I have a firm belief some how, some where, some thing forces us to step off the wheel. We may not want this enforced loss of control, being unable to do our usual day to day stuff……but sometimes it is exactly what is needed X
